The Hidden Cost of Stale Documentation

Outdated docs don't just sit there — they actively mislead your team and slow down your organization.

Devs trust outdated docs

Engineers follow stale API docs and ship bugs. A doc that was accurate 6 months ago can cost days of debugging today.

Onboarding breaks silently

New team members follow outdated setup guides and hit dead ends. Nobody knows the doc is wrong until someone complains.

Nobody knows what's current

Hundreds of docs across multiple platforms. Which ones are still accurate? Without tracking, it's impossible to tell.

Everything you need to keep docs fresh

DocDecay combines AI-powered analysis with smart alerting to make sure your documentation never falls behind.

Frequently asked questions

How does the freshness score work?

DocDecay calculates a 0-100 decay score based on three factors: time since last edit (50%), access frequency over 30 days (30%), and document importance (20%). Our AI also distinguishes between cosmetic edits (like typo fixes) and meaningful content updates, so a minor formatting change won't reset the clock.

Which platforms do you support?

We currently support Notion, Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides), and Confluence. Connect any or all of them to get a unified view of document freshness across your organization.

How often are documents scanned?

Scan frequency depends on your plan. Starter plans include weekly scans, Pro plans get daily scans, and Enterprise customers can configure custom scan intervals. You can also trigger manual scans anytime.

Can I try it for free?

DocDecay is currently available as early access. Sign up to connect your docs and start monitoring freshness right away. If you're not satisfied, you can cancel within 48 hours of your first payment for a full refund.

Is my data secure?

Absolutely. We use AES-256-GCM encryption for all OAuth tokens, enforce Row Level Security on our database so organizations can never see each other's data, and we never store the full content of your documents — only metadata like titles and update timestamps.
